Youth Art Day! Local Youth Art on Display at LCAC Story by: ami brown
Local school age children have been busy creating masterpieces to show at the Leland Cultural Art Center as part of Youth Month. This local art show will exhibit one piece of art from regional youth. The art will be on display at the Art Center for the month of March - and then on display at the Town Hall for the entire month of April! Make sure to drop by and see the local talent and artistic creations these students have submitted.
March 24 | 10 AM – 2 PM Bring the entire family to the fourth annual Youth Arts Day! This event features arts activities for children of all ages, exciting performances and a gallery show featuring the artwork of local youth. Fee | Free, no registration is required. This project was supported by the N.C. Arts Council, a division of the Department of Natural & Cultural Resources. www.NCArts.org
The art exhibition runs from March 3 - 30th. The Awards Ceremony will be on March 24th. Prizes and fun activities for all ages. Special musical guest - 16 year old, Caroline Dare will be performing as part of the celebration. Free admission to concert.
Down to Earth Aerials will also be performing, hands on experience for everyone. This will be a day of fun and creativity that the entire family can enjoy together.
